Greater Hansville Community Center Rental Agreement Information:

The Greater Hansville Community Center (GHCC) is located on the Buck Lake County Park property at 6778 Buck Lake Road in Hansville, Washington. It is available for rental by GHCC members, residents and non-residents of the Greater Hansville area. There is a large 40’ x40’ meeting room (maximum capacity 225) with 15 - 8' tables and/or 10 - 36” card tables, and sufficient chairs for 160 people. In addition there is a kitchen available equipped with refrigerator and freezer, range, convection oven and a microwave oven. Coffee making appliances are also available for use. Annually July 2-4 and August 1-20 are unavailable as rental days due to scheduled GHCC events. The use of the Buck Lake picnic shelter may be arranged with the Kitsap County Parks Department by calling, (360) 337-5350.

A separate setup fee may apply for large meetings that requires the use of large numbers of chairs and/or tables.

* Must be a GHCC member for a minimum of 6 months to qualify for the special GHCC member rate.

Per day use of available equipment options:

1) Presentation equipment includes wall mounted speakers with amplifier, microphone with stand and a pull-down projection screen: $25.00.

2) Bull Horn: $15.00, 3) Piano: $25.00.

Full use kitchen: $100.00 per day, (includes cooking equipment and appliances).

A $100.00 damage deposit is required and must be included with the rental reservation. The deposit will be refunded if the building has been left in its original state and the key is returned. Your reservation is not complete until the Rental Fee and damage deposit are paid. All checks should be made out to Greater Hansville Community Center. RENTAL RULES

No smoking is allowed in the building or within 25’ of the doors by state law.

Responsibility CHECK LIST:

Leave the building in the state that it was found.

Remove all garbage from the building, and replace bags (use the dumpster in the parking lot).

Use only removable tape for applying decorations (no pins or tacks). The hooks provided above each window and on the bottom of each conduit clamp may also be used.

Pets or animals are not allowed in the building without special permission from the GHCC Board.

Renter must have adult chaperones for minors in attendance. Renter is responsible for their guests’ behavior.

The premises may only be used for legal purposes.

If alcoholic beverages are to be served, a liquor permit must be obtained and displayed on the bulletin board during the event. The Liquor Permit Number should be emailed to ; or mailed to Greater Hansville Community Center, P O Box 133, Attn. GHCC Rental, Hansville, WA 98340. The liquor permit needs to be obtained 60 days in advance by contacting the Washington State Liquor Control Board.

Food handler permits are required for any advertised event that serves food to the public; please contact the Health Department for further information.

All of the renter’s food must be removed from refrigerator, freezer and kitchen at end of the function.

The take down of all tables and chairs is included in the setup fee.

Please be sure that you turn off the interior and exterior lights and heat when you leave the building. The Greater Hansville Community Center assumes no responsibility for any property placed in the building by the renter. If the facility should become unavailable for use by the scheduled renter due to unanticipated conditions of the community center, the GHCC shall not be held responsible for any damages or liability beyond the refund of the rental fee and damage deposit.
