  1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

Welcome to the Greater Hansville Community (GHCC) Web!  This website provides an internet presence for the greater Hansville area.  Use of this site is subject to the following Terms of Service ("TOS"), which may be updated by us from time to time.  You will be notified of the changes 30 days prior to them becoming effective.  

  1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE

GHCC currently provides users with web access to the resources of the greater Hansville area, including one page for each approved organization or community within our geographical area.  A list of the currently approved organizations and communities is available by contacting the secretary of the GHCC at the e-mail address listed under the “contacts” section of the website.    This area served by this website is described as that area from Eglon to the Southeast, Little Boston to the Southwest, and the tip of the Kitsap Peninsula to the north, bounded on the west by the Hood Canal and on the east by Puget Sound.   Approved organizations or communities may purchase additional web pages located within the GHCC site.  The cost is listed in the “GHCC Site Fee Schedule” document.  No domain registration will be necessary for this.  The site, serving all members of the greater Hansville area, will be strictly regulated by the GHCC Board.  In addition, you must provide all equipment necessary to make such connection to the World Wide Web, including a computer and modem or other access device. GHCC is not an Internet Service Provider.

  1. HCC PRIVACY POLICY

 GHCC respects the privacy of the individual members of the community and will not publish any information about
 individuals or groups without their permission.  By filling out the appropriate forms to request inclusion in the site or by
 forwarding content for a community or organization page, the user gives permission to publish any or all of the information
 so provided.

  1. USER CONDUCT

You understand that all information, data, text, photographs, graphics, messages or other materials ("Content"), whether publicly posted or privately transmitted, are the sole responsibility of the person from which such Content originated. This means that you, and not GHCC, are entirely responsible for all Content that you upload, post or otherwise transmit to GHCC for posting on the site.  GHCC will monitor for appropriate content all material posted or transmitted for posting, but will not edit it for accuracy.

You agree to not use the GHCC site to:

  1. upload, post or otherwise transmit any Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;

  1. upload, post or otherwise transmit any Content that you do not have a right to transmit under any law or under contractual or fiduciary relationships (such as inside information, proprietary and confidential information learned or disclosed as part of employment relationships or under nondisclosure agreements);

  1. upload, post or otherwise transmit any Content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights of any party;

  1. intentionally or unintentionally violate any applicable local, state, national or international law, including, but not limited to, any regulations having the force of law;

  1. promote or provide instructional information about illegal activities, promote physical harm or injury against any group or individual, or promote any act of cruelty to animals;

  1. use your home page (or directory) as storage for remote loading or as a door or signpost to another home page;

  1. INDEMNITY

You agree to indemnify and hold GHCC, and its affiliates, officers, or members, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your Content, your use of the website, your violation of the Terms of Service, or your violation of any rights of another.

  1. TERMINATION

You agree that GHCC, in its sole discretion, may terminate your web page for violation of your hosting agreement or violation of the Terms of Service.  In this case, you will be notified by certified mail 10 days prior to the termination.
