POLICIES FOR THIS WEBSITE

Purpose: To make available information concerning local activities and opportunities in the Greater Hansville Community.

Content: Items of interest to the general community. Content will include, but not be limited to, information about community and community organizations, calendar of scheduled activities, board meeting minutes, e-mail addresses for current officers (by office, not by name), Community Center rental information, listing of business members of the community center, and volunteer opportunities. All content will be subject to the Terms of Service as posted on the site and approval by the GHCC Board.

Organizations to be included on the site: Those communities and organizations within the physical boundaries of the Greater Hansville Community as defined in Terms of Service (TOS) document found on the GHCC website. Other entities may apply to the Board for inclusion. Each of these organizations, if they so desire, can be listed along with their description/mission statement, officers and contact information, meeting time and place. Additional information submitted will be posted on a separate page on the site. The page will be provided by the GHCC at no charge. The “additional information” page will be posted by the website committee and will be a “boilerplate” page.

A multi-page presence can be purchased at a fee set forth in the GHCC Site Fee Schedule.

Business members of the Community Center (those who have paid for a business membership) will have a listing and a link to their web site, if any. If they have no web presence and do not desire a basic web page provided by GHCC, their address and phone number can be listed if they desire.

Responsibilities of Participating Organizations: Each organization will provide written permission for any links included in their page(s) hosted on the GHCC site and will appoint a contact person who will be responsible to submit to the webmaster updates as needed, either in writing or by e-mail.

Links: Links to all but public/government sites will require written permission of linked site. The links policy will apply only to all links on the actual GHCC site. Individual organizations are responsible for their own content if their pages are hosted elsewhere.
